Background

Technology tested was the bipolar ionization technology used in the 7000 and BAR series. Objective was to evaluate the efficacy of the 7000 series and the Plasma BAR in reducing airborne mold: Dichobotrys abundans and Penicillium.

Methodology

The testing took place in a residential basement over a 5-month period with normal household activity. The device was mounted near a supply-air vent at the ceiling of the room. Multiple tests were conducted with the device active and inactive.

Summary of Results

Testing showed a reduction of Dichobotrys abundans (90%) and Penicillium (95%) as well as airborne particles, cockroach and dust mite debris.
